Goal-based saving and bill reminders. Every rupiah set aside belongs to something.

## Challenge

A balance is a number; a goal is a reason, and people keep saving for reasons. Money saved in one pot gets spent from one pot, because nothing on the screen says what it was meant for. Bills arrive as surprises even though most of them land on the same day every month, and a reminder only helps if the money is still there when it arrives.

## Solution

Every rupiah saved gets a name and a date. A goal builder asks two things, what the money is for and what you can put aside each month, then fills in the months until it is ready, with a note when the pace looks very long or too fast to leave room for the month’s bills. The home screen lists goals with their progress, each goal opens as a jar showing what is left to go, and bills become small goals of their own, sorted by due date, with reminders arriving two days early and the amount already set aside.

## Technology

The app is planned as one cross-platform codebase, so the iOS and Android versions stay in step. Reminders are local notifications scheduled from each bill’s due date. The app does not hold money itself: a partner bank or e-wallet holds the funds and the app organises them into goals, so a real build depends on that partner’s integration.

## What we’d measure

Savings Wallet is a goodtogrid studio concept rather than client work: a goal-based savings and bill-reminder app for iOS and Android, designed for people who want the money they put aside to stay put until it is needed. It has not been launched, so it has no users or results. On a live app, the studio would measure three things. First, how many goals are still being funded after three months, because a goal that keeps receiving money is the clearest sign that names and dates are working. Second, how many bills are fully set aside before their reminder arrives, which tests whether treating bills as goals removes the surprise. Third, how often people withdraw from a goal before its date, since early withdrawals show where the plan and real life part ways. These are the numbers we’d watch, not results we’re claiming.
