Rental search where every listing leads with its floor plan and the five facts renters filter on.

## Challenge

Listing photos are taken to flatter a room. A floor plan can’t flatter anything. Renters scroll through photo after photo to work out what a listing could state in a line: how many rooms, how big, furnished or not, and the monthly cost. A shortlist built on guesses leads to viewings that answer questions the listing should have.

## Solution

The plan goes first, at the size of the photo it replaces. Every card carries a small plan and five facts in a fixed order: bedrooms, size, furnished or not, when it’s available, and the monthly rent. Filters for bedrooms, budget and furnished only change the list as you tap, and an empty result says which filter to loosen. On a listing page the plan is drawn at 1:100 and tapping a room opens its photos, with rent, deposit, minimum stay, move-in date and nearby places alongside, and a viewing request the owner answers with two times.

## Technology

Plans are stored as vector drawings rather than images, so each room can be tapped, measured and linked to its photos. Search pages are rendered on the server, so listings can be found through search engines and open quickly on a phone, and the filters update results without a full reload.

## What we’d measure

Property Listings is a goodtogrid studio concept, not client work: no homes have been listed on it and no renters have used it. It is a rental search website for agencies, landlords and property platforms, designed so that each listing answers the basics of rooms, size, furnishing, availability and rent before anyone opens a gallery. On a live product we would measure three things. Viewing requests per listing would show whether renters who see the plan and facts first go on to ask for viewings of homes that suit them. The share of listings published with a floor plan matters because the whole design depends on plans existing, and that depends on how easy it is for staff to add one. Searches that end with zero results would show whether the filters are pitched sensibly, and whether telling renters which filter to loosen keeps them searching instead of leaving.

- Viewing requests per listing
- Listings published with a floor plan
- Searches that end with zero results

A studio concept: numbers we’d watch on a live product, not results we’re claiming.
