A curriculum deck, rebuilt as a website parents can actually browse.

## Challenge

KYZN Preschool runs campuses in Kuningan and BSD, and everything about how it teaches lived in one presentation deck. The deck was written to be presented, not browsed: dense slides, one idea after another, and no way in for a parent with a single question. It covered a lot, from the 5 E’s and a method drawing on Montessori, Vygotsky and Reggio Emilia to EYFS, NAEYC and Kurikulum Merdeka, four developmental domains, eleven subjects, class schedules and the academic year.

## Solution

A redesign, not a slide-by-slide copy. The slide order went first, and each piece of content moved into a section that answers one question a parent asks. Every section got its own card from one shared family: the daily rhythm reads like a timetable, the four domains sit side by side with equal weight, the eleven subjects become a scannable index, and both campuses share one structure so they compare easily. The cards keep the same bones, a 16px radius, one type scale and 8px spacing, and the key screens were drawn for the phone in a parent’s hand.

## Technology

TanStack Router gives type-safe routing for every section and page, Bun is the package manager and tooling runtime, and Turborepo holds the workspace for the site and its shared pieces. It is a front end only, with no backend, database or auth for the school to maintain, so nobody at KYZN has a server to look after.

## Result

KYZN Preschool is a website for a preschool with campuses in Kuningan and BSD, designed and built by goodtogrid as web development and UI/UX work. It replaces a curriculum deck written for presenting with a site parents can browse on their own, one question at a time. The school’s philosophy, its method drawing on Montessori, Vygotsky and Reggio Emilia, its four developmental domains, eleven subjects, daily rhythm, campuses and academic year each get a section and a card of their own, all drawn from a single card family. The site is a front end built on TanStack Router, Bun and Turborepo, with no backend, database or login for the school to run. It has been live at kyzn.sch.id since August 2026, and the enquiries it produces go to Dashbird, a separate private web app also built for KYZN.
