# UI/UX design

> Research, flows, clickable prototypes and design systems on an 8px grid, from a Makassar studio whose designers also write the code.

Research, structure and interface design, from the first flow to a design system your team can keep using. We prototype in the medium you'll ship, so the screens you approve are screens that can be built.

- **Discipline:** UI/UX Design
- **Industries:** 3 with their own page
- **Backed by:** 8 case studies · 3 for clients, 5 concepts
- **Updated:** 2026-10-02

## Who it’s for

- Teams whose product works but is hard to use
- Founders who need flows and a prototype before committing to a build
- Developers who want a design system they can actually implement
- Organisations moving a paper or spreadsheet process onto screens

## What we solve

- **Nobody agrees on what the product does.** Ideas live in meetings and chat threads. We write down who uses it and what they come to do, then draw the flows before any screen gets polished.
- **Mockups that fall apart in the build.** A static picture hides forty-item lists, slow connections and empty states. Search, filters, forms and onboarding get prototyped in code early, where a mockup would lie.
- **Every screen invents its own rules.** Spacing, type and colour drift when each screen is designed alone. A design system on an 8px grid gives designers and developers one set of sizes to share.
- **Dense data that reads as noise.** Dashboards and records pack a lot onto one screen. We decide what has to stand out, keep the rest quiet, and save colour for states someone must act on.

## What you get

- Research and discovery
- Information architecture
- User flows and wireframes
- Interface design
- Clickable prototypes
- Design systems

## How a project runs

1. **Tell us about your project.** You share what you’re building, who it’s for and where it stands today. A few honest lines beat a long document.
2. **Define goals & requirements.** We turn the conversation into scope: goals, users, must-haves, constraints, and what done looks like.
3. **Strategy & design.** Information architecture, flows and interface design, reviewed with you in working sessions rather than big reveals.
4. **Development.** We build what we designed, for the web, iOS and Android, in small increments you can use as we go.
5. **Launch & iteration.** We ship, watch how it’s used, and keep improving what matters most.

## How we approach it

We design from the work people do, not from a list of screens. Rekamedika follows the order of a clinic visit. Dashbird reads like mail because answering enquiries is the job. Fleet Console is built around one question dispatch asks all day: where is it now?

Exploration stays on the canvas, where layouts and type are quick to push around. Anything with motion, real data or input moves into a prototype on the device it's meant for, so reviews happen on a real phone or in a real browser.

Every design sits on an 8px grid and ends as a small system: tokens, components and the rules for using them. That's what keeps the product consistent once it leaves our hands.

## Frequently asked questions

### Can you design without building?

Yes. Fleet Console is a design-only studio concept: flows, interface and the rules for what stands out. You get files and a prototype your own developers can work from.

### What do we receive at the end of design?

Clickable prototypes, the interface files, and a design system set on an 8px grid. If we're also building, the same system becomes the components in code.

### Do you do user research?

Research and discovery are part of the work, scaled to the project. Often that means sitting with the people who will use the product, as we did with the clinic day behind Rekamedika.

### Do you work on existing products?

Yes. Choose "Existing product" or "Rebuild" in the brief. We start by mapping what's there and what people struggle with before redrawing anything.
