> Website cost with goodtogrid: price bands from a one-page site to a content-heavy site with a CMS, what moves the price, and what you pay after launch.

A website's price follows its content more than its looks. How many pages, who writes them, and who updates them afterwards decide most of the quote.

- **Services:** UI/UX Design · Web Development
- **Range:** $500 to $35k
- **Backed by:** 3 case studies · 1 for a client, 2 concepts
- **Updated:** 2026-10-02

## Price bands

- **Single page: $500–$2.5k** (1–3 weeks). One page that says who you are, what you offer and how to reach you. Your copy, a clean layout, a contact link and the basics for search.
- **Content site: $2.5k–$10k** (4–8 weeks). Several sections, each shaped around a question visitors ask. Content restructured from what you already have, as with the KYZN Preschool site.
- **Site with a CMS or store: $10k–$35k** (2–4 months). Pages your team edits without us, listings or products with search and filters, a checkout or subscription, and the content model behind them.

_Ranges in US dollars, before tax. A written quote follows the brief and the first call._

## What moves the price

- **Amount of content.** Ten pages written and ready cost less than four pages still living in a slide deck. Restructuring content is real work, and often the most valuable part.
- **Who updates it.** A site the studio updates on request can be a plain front end. A site your team edits weekly needs a CMS, roles and a content model.
- **Custom sections.** A timetable, a floor plan, a roast calendar. Each section built for its own content takes design and build time that a repeated template doesn't.
- **Languages.** A second language doubles the copy to check and adds routing, metadata and a switcher. Plan it from the start rather than bolting it on.
- **Commerce.** Products, stock, payment and subscriptions turn a site into a small application, with testing to match.

## What’s included

- A content outline built from what you already have
- Page design on an 8px grid, for phone and desktop
- Front-end build, fast and accessible
- Search basics, from page titles to a sitemap
- Code in a repository you own
- Launch and a short guide to updating it

## After launch

- **Domain and hosting.** A domain is a yearly fee. A static site can sit on low-cost hosting; a CMS or store adds a monthly plan.
- **Content updates.** Done by your team in the CMS, or by us on request or on a small retainer.
- **Upkeep.** Dependency updates and checks after browser changes, usually a few hours a quarter for a front-end site.

## How we price a website

We read what you already have first: the current site, the brochure, the deck. Most of the estimate comes from how much of that has to be rewritten and reorganised before a page can be designed.

A site that only changes a few times a year doesn't need a CMS, and leaving one out keeps the build and the upkeep smaller. We'll say so in the quote.
